8_The Risen Saviour

"You shall seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:13) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved." (Romans 10:13) Trust Him with your life, choose to obey Him. The moment you do, He comes to accomplish it. He gives you the ability to trust Him, to obey Him, to listen to Him, to yield to Him, to respect Him, to revere Him, to bless Him, to praise Him, and to worship Him. When you get a revelation of who Jesus really is, He becomes more than "a man who died on the cross". He becomes the risen Saviour. And all power and authority in Heaven and on earth has been given unto Him. Read Matthew 28:18. In the book of Luke, chapter 15, Jesus tells the story of a father with two sons. One, choosing to have his own way in life, came to his father asking for his inheritance, and out of love the father gave it to him. Immediately, this rebellious one went into a far country and wasted all he had received on wicked living. When he had lost everything, he was forced to take any work he could find to survive. The only work he could find was that of feeding pigs. All of us, at some point in our lives, have done the same thing. We have wasted our inheritance by living outside the will of God. But we can do what the 'prodigal son' did. He went back to his father. And, his father was watching for him. "So he rose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and pitied him, and ran and threw his arms round his neck and kissed him tenderly. The father said to his servants, 'Fetch a good coat quickly and put it on him; and bring a ring for his finger and shoes for his feet. Fetch the fat calf and kill it, and let us feast and enjoy ourselves; for my son here was dead and has come back to life again: he was lost and has been found.' And they began to be merry." (Luke 15:20,22-24) That's the message the Lord told me to give to you. You may or may not have noticed, I left a couple of things out-Heaven and hell. The Lord told me to tell you that He could really impress you with Heaven, and that He could really scare you with hell but, rather you believed in Him or not-Heaven and hell are real. What He wants you to know is that He loves you. He wants you to know that your sins have been paid for...Jesus paid it all on the cross. He wants you to know that He has sent (His) Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in His ways. And, He wants you to come home. Will you? Will you come home? He's watching for you!

7_The Same Yesterday, Today and Forever

During His earthly ministry, Jesus...turned water into wine (John 2:1-11), stilled a raging storm (Mark 4:35-41), walked on water (John 6:16-21), caused a fig tree to wither at His word (Mark 11:12-24), fetched money from the mouth of a fish (Matthew 17:27), fed over five thousand people with five barley loaves and two fish with twelve baskets left over (John 6:5-14), healed Peter's mother-in-law (Mark 1:30,31), cured the incurable lepers (Mark 1:40-45), restored a withered hand (Mark 3:1-5), opened the eyes of the blind (John 9:1-7), restored hearing and speech (Mark 7:31-37), caused the lame to walk (John 5:1-9), raised Jairus's daughter from the dead (Luke 8:41-56), raised the widow's son from the dead (Luke 7:11-17), raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:38-44), delivered demon possessed man from a legion of demons (Mark 5:1-13), and set free a boy from an evil spirit (Mark 5:1-13). The apostle John said, "and there are also many other things which Jesus did. If they should be all recorded one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." (John 21:25) And He's the same yesterday, today and forever. He is no respector of persons. What He does for one, He will do for all. If you will just believe that He will. When you fall, He will lift you up. When you fail, He forgives. When you are weak, He is strong. When you are lost, He is the way. When you are afraid, He is your courage. When you stumble, He will steady you. When you are hurt, He will heal you. When you are hungry, He will feed you. When you face trials, He is with you. When you face persecution, He shields you. When you face problems, He comforts you. When you face loss, He provides for you. And when your 'numbered days' on earth are finished...He will bring you home.

6_We Are Made Right in Jesus

Having come into this world with a sinful nature, we have broken the Ten Commandments. Read Exodus 20:2-17. We have had other gods before theone true God. We have not been righteous in many areas of our lives and we need cleansing and renewal. Jesus said that unless a person is born from above, of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Read John 3:3. We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away all our sins. God declares us not guilty because Jesus took the punishment for our sins. We are made right when we believe that Jesus shed His blood, sacrificing His life for us. Read Romans 3:22,24,25. We become the adopted sons and daughters of God. Read Ephesians 1:5. Choose to take God at His word and receive the gift He offers through the death and ressurrection of His own Son, Christ Jesus of Nazareth. Read Romans 6:23. "By grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, lest any one should boast; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2:8) "The empty-headed fool has said, in his heart, there is no God." (Psalm 14:1) The empty-headed fool is wrong. "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near." (Isaiah 55:6) Jesus said, "People cannot come to Me unless the Father, who sent Me, brings them to Me." (John 6:44) It is no accident that you are reading this. The Kingdom of Heaven has come nigh unto you.

5_From God, Through Christ Jesus, By Holy Spirit

"After the soldiers finished making fun of Jesus, they took off the purple cape and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to crucify Him, and hung Him on a cross." (Mark 15:20) They took Him to Golgotha. The cross was an instrument of punishment, shame, and disgrace for condemned criminals. Yet Jesus never committed a crime, never sinned. Jesus was the only perfect person who ever lived. He taught. He healed. He fed the hungry. He spoke to everyone of His Fathers' love. He was falsely accused by religious zealots who were full of envy. He was betrayed for thirty pieces of silver. His trial was a mockery. In a matter of hours, Jesus was nailed to a cross. Why? It all started in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God. As a result, mankind has a sinful nature and sinful behavior. Read Ephesians 2:1-3. The sinful nature results in deliberate acts of disobedience-doing our own thing, going our own way. Our sinful nature and sinful behavior have separated us from God. Read Isaiah 59:1,2. As a result, we have all gone astray and failed in life. God speaks plainly, "all wrong doing is sin." (1 John 5:17) "There is none that doeth good, no not one." (Romans 3:12) "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." (1 John !:8) "All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord has laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:6) That is why we all must be born again (spiritually)-to receive a new nature, one that comes from God, through Christ Jesus of Nazareth, by His Holy Spirit; so that we can be changed in what we are and stop our sinful behavior. Read 11 Corinthians 5:17,18

4_Redeemer, Saviour, Lord

When you begin to understand who Jesus is, you will realize He is everything you need in any situation. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus proved... He is the Father to the orphan, He is the Husband to the widow, He is the Friend to the lonely, He is the Physician to the sick, He is the Counselor to the confused, He is the Banker to the poor, and the Compass to the traveler trying to find his way in life. He is the Bright and Morning Star who lights the path of those walking in darkness. He is the healer of every sickness and disease, and the deliverer from every bad habit. He is the Saviour from every sin. "The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7) "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) "If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us." (Titus 3:5) He will never leave you, He will never forsake you, He will never mislead you, He will never forget you. He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time and in every way. He is Faithful, He is God. And I am His and He is mine. "I the Lord will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you." (Psalm 32:8) He is my Redeemer. He is my Saviour. He is my Lord, and He rules my life. I serve Him because I love Him. And, yet, this is love..."Not that I loved God, but that He loved me and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for my sins." (1 John 4:10) "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) "You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures forever more." (Psalm 16:11)

3_The Way, The Truth, The Life

He came from the throne of the Father to the womb of a woman. He put on humanity that we might put on divinity. He became Son of Man so that we might become children of God. and, who does He say He is. "I am from above." (John 8:23) "Before Abraham was, I Am." (John 8:58) "I and My Father are One." (John 10:30) And, "He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father." (John 14:9) Yes, He is Jesus Christ, the Anointed One of God who saves. The One whom Herod could not kill. satan could not tempt Him to sin. Death could not destroy Him. The grave could not hold Him. He is the Bread of Life, the Author and Finisher of our faith, the Good Shepherd, our Deliverer, our Great High Priest, the King of Kings, the Lamb of God, the Light of the world, the Only Begotten Son, Lord of all, and He is Truth. He says of Himself, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1) "Whoever comes to Me, I will never drive away...for My Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life."

2_He Is The Perfect One

He was born in a supernatural way. His family was inconspicuous and uninfluential. In infancy He startled a king. As a boy, He stunned theologians with His wisdom and knowledge, for He was taught of God, His Father. In manhood, He ruled the elements and quieted a raging sea. He healed the multitudes without medicine, and fed thousands from a boy's lunch. Even demons obeyed Him and He gave back life to those who died. He conquered death on the cross and rose on the third day from the tomb as He said He would. He appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. They saw Him, they talked with Him. They ate with Him. During the following forty days, Jesus was seen by over five hundred people. He told them that He was going back to His Father. The Holy Spirit would come in His place. He ascended into Heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father. One day He will return with His power and great glory to judge the world, where every knee shall bow to Him and every tongue shall confess Him as Lord. He is the Perfect One. "...there is no other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) He is the only one who can satisfy the soul. "Come unto Me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) He gives everlasting life to thase who love Him and obey His commandments. "I am the door, by Me if any man enter, He shall be saved." (John 10:9) "As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name." (John 1:12) When the Roman officer who stood facing Him at the cross saw how He had died, he exclaimed, "Truly this was the Son of God." (Mark 15:39)

1_The Word Of God

He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. He is the Architect of the Universe, the Creator of all. He just speaks and it is. He is God who says, "Let there be light and there was light." (Genesis 1:3) "He upholds all things by the Word of His Power." (Bebrews 1:3) He always was, He always is, He always will be and, people, He is coming back very soon. He is unmoved, unchanged, undefeated, and never undone! "...and the title by which He is called is the Word of God." (Revelations 19:13) "In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and He was God. He was in the beginning with God. He created everything there is. Nothing exist that He didn't make." (John 1:1-3) "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us..." (John 1:14) "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6) "And, behold the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel-which when translated, means, God with us." (Matthew 2:23) He is Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, He is Love. He is Holy, Righteous, Mighty, Powerful, Pure. He is the Wisdom of God. He is my peace, and He is my joy. He is my strength. He is my teacher, my comforter, my guide..."leading me into all truth." (Lohn 16:13) His ways are right, His word is eternal, His will is unchanging, and His thoughts are on me. And His thoughts are on you too! He says, "Cast your burdens and cares upon Me." (John 10:10) His desire for me and you is abundant life through Himself.
